A tropical pavilion piece for Glastonbury Festival, 2020. Due to Covid-19 the build of this piece has been postponed until 2022.

The tropical-tardis provides a gateway, allowing visitors to enter and re-emerge in a new tropical incarnation.

Glowing aperture

Light glows from within, beaming up through the aperture at the top, drawing parallels with the Pyramid stage’s beacon.

Luminous Skin

Light glows mysteriously from within, illuminating the facade panels and flickering as people move around within.

Tensile Fabric Panels

Fabric panelling is stretched over a timber frame.

Arrayed Timber Frame

Tessellating timber fins lock into a frame, creating a strong but lightweight skeletal structure from which to hang the secondary panelling.
